Sound Services

Public Address Hire: Acoustic music specialists from 1K to ------?

Where ever you need to go! Reliable Equipment, Trained Staff, Vast Experience, Competitive.

It is twenty years since I started my career in sound engineering and since that time Spadger Sound Services has become fully integrated into the 'roots' and acoustic music business. Giant steps have been taken with the provision and expectation of sound systems and their standards.

My personal crusade was and still is to provide an ever improving quality of sound product and service to the acoustic music arena, one which I feel is being achieved through a process of education and expectation. In 1988 Spadger did it's first major 'acoustic music' tour with the 'Ashley Hutchings All Stars', and supplied the P.A. for the now sadly demised Potteries Folk Festival in Burslem, Stoke on Trent.

Since those tentative steps Spadger's work within the 'Folk' and 'Roots' business has come to encompass involvment with some of the biggest Festivals and artists, most still ongoing, and set standards of performance for quality and conscientiousness across the sound provision spectrum.

Having not advertised in any way for very many years, and relying solely on word of mouth recommendation, the company has become aware that musicians and promoters may be unaware of our status within the audio provision business. Hopefully, this site will help put that right! A current client list follows this resume, and I have no hesitation in inviting prospective enquirers to ask ANY of those listed for their views on our service and conduct.

John and Steve (erstwhile stage loiterer at Sidmouth '99) We remain a small business, having not outgrown the 'personal' side of what still is a folk family within the U.K. Spadger has access to a team of the finest acoustic engineers currently working in Western Europe, and all are versed in the ''Spadger" work ethic: humour, efficiency and quality.

We famously say that if you can 'do' the Shetland Folk Festival, where the company supply four 'rigs' and eight engineers, working a gruelling schedule, nothing that follows during the year can phase you! and it's true. Single event to multi-stage Festivals, we are still involved right down to the grassroots level, from tents to the Royal Albert Hall, each given the same personal attention and input. Rob (wet) famously interfering with the electrics outside Salisbury Cathedral '98 after 7 days outside in December and still smiling!

The new Millenium has arrived, finance gets tighter and expectations higher. If you seek the best, and wish to unburden yourselves of ALL your sound provision problems, please get in contact.

We understand budgets, and speak your language, will not supply things you do not need, understand health and safety legislation, have public liability insurance and know most of the artists. We also do an exceptional job. We're here to help.
