Spadger is committed to producing the highest standard of
sound, and over the years has consistently achieved results
in all manner of venues that have surpassed both promoter
and audience expectations.
Our engineers are trained from day one, in stage setting through
to front of house engineering, in a multitude of differing
sized venues, from small halls to cathedrals, dead rooms to
ambient ‘nightmares’ and from tent to open-air. Over the many
years of practising our ‘art’, I have come to the conclusion
that the ‘name’ on the box or desk will only help equate to
the outputted sound, if the engineer has a set of ears and
is aware and sympathetic to both venue, artist and audience.
Equipment should obviously work, and be suitable for the job
at hand, and here we know we have found a combination of equipment
which does all the things it says on the box and to our complete
satisfaction. We remain competitive because, rather than in
spite of, the investment we undertake in keeping equipment
working and viable, and have realised that ‘expensive’ name
brand equipment is not the be all and end all of good sound
provision.
Lining the pockets of manufacturers who press their wares on
suppliers, through massive advertising and ‘spech loyalty’,
constantly burdens suppliers with the perceived need to supply
an ‘image’ and ‘must have’ state of the art gear which is
(mostly) overrated and financially crippling. We know our
market, and what continues to hold us in good stead during
the passage of time is our engineers and their abilities.
We supply a vast range of needs, indeed we are one of the few
suppliers left who can deliver quality sound from the very
basic to a full concert spec, able to fill the back of a car
for small halls to wedging gear into a 7.5 tonner! Our list
of equipment may seem, to the unaware, to lack a certain ‘brandedness’;
we have no fears that after all this time, and the work we
undertake it will do the job in hand very well, and we will
be producing quality results for many years to come.

Our Speaker systems are built for us by a company in Newcastle,
Tyne and Wear, to specifications that have been proven as
the most ‘sonically natural’ available at this time. Designed
to produce audio throughout the complete spectrum WITHOUT
any form of internal or external processing, save for active
3 way crossovers on the ‘big’ rig. Generic systems, have (in
some cases rightly), over years been tarnished through poor
design, bad build and useless results……here we know the system
is as good as it gets, having been used without exception
for all our high profile work, with major artists and events
the breadth of the country.
Again high quality sound provision has been sought and delivered,
without compromise, through diligent use of equipment and
products correctly put together and capable of delivering
the needs of musicians for the best possible results. We meet
many engineers from all genres of music, whom have all been
bowled over by the results of the system, we do however qualify
that ‘good’ engineers make better results, if engineering
staff are unaccustomed to designing quality sound, results
can be heard as such…..what is put in, comes out!!
